About the Speakers: Rhiannon Kearns is a Project Manager for Lightyear Foundation, a charity that breaks down barriers to disabled children accessing STEM. Rhiannon manages and delivers the active-learning classes, as well as other projects such as the Role Model scheme and the Work Inspiration Trip programme. Lightyear Foundation recently partnered with Flamingo Chicks to create a unique fusion of science and dance, which brings the STEM subjects to life in a sensory and inclusive way for young people with SEND to enjoy.
Ben Browne is a Founding Director and Senior Presenter with Explorer Dome. From its early days in the 1990s touring schools with a mobile planetarium, Explorer Dome is now one of the UK's leading science outreach organisations with bases in Bristol, Birmingham and London. Explorer Dome delivers a wide range of presenter-led science shows to schools, youth groups, festivals and events across the UK, reaching 74,000 people last year and keeping science hands-on, interactive and fun!
